In addition to our main services, we offer a number of smaller provisions for vulnerable members of our communities enabling them to live independently with varying degrees of support.
The centre at Parkhead offers stimulating leisure and educational activities for adults with learning disabilities. Based in Ashington, it runs a wide range of activities, including day trips and excursions. Socialisation and community inclusion are central to the purpose of the service, helping to improve self-esteem and confidence.
Parkhead Day Centre is a partnership between St Cuthberts Care and Northumberland Care Trust. Attendance at the Centre requires a referral from the Care Trust.

St Joseph's Day Centre in Gateshead provides specialist day time care and support for older people with dementia, enabling them to continue to live in their own homes whilst ensuring that their carers are given time to have a break. The Day Centre offers a wide range of engaging experiences and activities including arts and crafts and outings.

Bailiffgate is a ten bed residential home for adults with learning disabilities. The service provided is tailored to meet individual needs, underpinned by principles such as inclusion, independence, rights and freedom of choice.

We support a number of adults with learning disabilities in Newcastle and Northumberland, enabling them to live as independently as possible in their own homes. We offer tailored support which encourages individuality, independent living and choice.
Working with other professionals we carefully tailor a support plan for each individual that provides the right level of support for their needs, ambitions and aspirations whilst helping them to develop the life skills they need to maintain their independence and gain confidence as full and equal members of the community.
