Back in the saddle

There was neigh holding back our two talented equestrians as they returned to riding school to show off their skills.

Even though Sarah and Cheryl have been unable to enjoy horse riding since the start of the pandemic, they were soon trotting, cantering and galloping as if they’d never been away.

Both women live in our home for adults with learning disabilities in Alnwick and, with the support of our staff, are able to attend riding lessons regularly.

“Sarah and Cheryl look forward to their lessons so much,” said our Director of Care, Amanda. “As well as enriching their life experiences, they have increasingly enjoyed – and benefited from – the social aspect of the lessons, too.”

It’s not all horsing around then, Sarah and Cheryl?
