It was the battle of our Newcastle and Sunderland nursing homes when residents threw down the gauntlet for a virtual quick draw challenge.
No Wild West shoot outs were involved, simply a very enthusiastic game of Pictionary involving some technological wizardry to bring the teams together.
Our residents at St Catherine’s in Newcastle and Holy Cross in Sunderland threw everything they had into their drawings and, as the tension grew, each team was determined to come out top.
In the end it was Sunderland’s day, but the friendly rivalry won’t allow our Newcastle residents to be the underdogs for long.
“It was nearly as tense as a penalty shoot-out between our football teams,” said Selma from St Catherine’s. “We’re already working on our artistic talents so we’re better prepared to come out top next time.”
