Manager at our Alan Shearer Specialist Residential Home, Gareth, sprung quite a surprise for a special birthday.
Whilst on annual leave, Gareth tapped into his incredible culinary skills to rustle up a glamorous and delicious cake for Emily, who lives in our home, to mark her 21st birthday.
Combining all of her favourite flavours, this Nutella, strawberry and chocolate cake formed the centrepiece for Emily’s birthday buffet which she enjoyed sharing with everyone living in our home.
And, another sensory surprise to mark her special day came in the shape of a gorgeous memory book containing all of Emily’s favourite pictures taken during her first year at our home.
