We are delighted to have received confirmation in a report from Ofsted that our children’s home in Darlington has been rated as ‘Outstanding’ in all areas – the highest rating possible – after the regulatory body recently carried out a full inspection.
The inspector’s report is packed with glowing comments about the work of our staff team and the home manager and the positive impact they are having on the lives of the children living in the home. Here are a few extracts from the report:
‘Children flourish because of the outstanding care and support they receive from a nurturing staff team.’
‘Children have excellent relationships with staff. They trust them and tell them their biggest worries.’
‘Staff work incredibly hard to really get to know and understand the children.’
“Young people living in our home have experienced a difficult start in life,” said our Director of Care, Amanda Head. “The work required to restore their prospects, confidence and self-esteem is often challenging, but our staff are committed to providing the care and guidance they need in a nurturing and supportive way.
“I am incredibly proud of our entire team and the young people themselves who have all played a part in helping us to achieve this excellent rating,” she said. “Well done.”
