Top o’ the mornin’ to ya
We have many residents of Irish blood at St Catherine’s, our Nursing Home in Newcastle, so everyone was in good spirits this morning on St. Patricks Day!
It is a big day for our resident experts on all things Irish, John and Nancy, who recalled their younger days dancing the Irish Jig and their love of their music.
“My husband played the fiddle in an Irish band. ” said Nancy.
“Oh, what fun we had dancing the night away. There is nothing better than Irish music.”
Our residents have been busy celebrating the day decorating leprechauns while enjoying traditional Irish music and limericks, and no doubt there will be a few glasses raised this evening.
