Today is St Swithin’s day and as the famous legend has it:
St Swithin’s Day if thou dost rain,
For 40 days it will remain,
St Swithin’s Day if thou be fair,
For 40 days will rain na mair
Resident’s at our Nursing home in Sunderland have their fingers and toes crossed that today the glorious weather continues. Especially Lucy, who enjoys nothing more than soaking up the rays with a cup of tea on the balcony.
