Marking Mental Health Awareness Week

In support of Mental Health Awareness Week, we’re encouraging our staff to focus on good mental health – both their own and that of their colleagues.

As part of our Wellness Strategy, we are promoting the support available from our team of trained Mental Health First Aiders who are the first point of contact for anyone who feels anxious, worried or concerned.

And a pilot project has just launched that aims to encourage staff to make a pledge to change just one thing as a starting point that will improve their mental health and wellbeing.

HR Lead, Denise Hall said, “It’s long been recognised that good mental health is as important as good physical health and we’re continuing to work hard to remove the stigma that sometimes prevents people seeking help for mental health issues.

“We hope that having our own team of Mental Health First Aiders is a step in the right direction and will help to make it easier for people to reach out for support.”
