Staff at our Alan Shearer Specialist Residential home enjoyed a bitter-sweet moment when resident, Beth, was finally able to move back into her family home.
After suffering horrific brain injuries in a car crash at just 18 years old, Beth moved into our Alan Shearer Specialist Residential Home five years ago, receiving round-the-clock specialist care and support.
Now, thanks to our dedicated staff and the specialist team involved in her care, Beth has finally been able to go home to her family.
“It was always our plan for Beth to be able to return home to her family and we’re delighted that Beth’s rehabilitation has gone so well,” said our Specialist Residential home manager, Gareth, “but, at the same time, we’re so sad to see her go. We’d like to wish her every success as she continues her journey.”
And, with a strong bond growing between Gareth and Beth over the last five years, it’s hoped it’s not goodbye but au revoir, Beth.
