Today’s Dignity Action Day offers an opportunity to focus on the importance of dignity in care and gives us the chance to highlight the work of our dignity champions.
Each of our services, has its own dignity champion, ensuring the dignity and respect of each individual in our care is always at the heart of everything we do.
“Our Dignity Champions act as ambassadors, ensuring dignity and respect become second nature in absolutely every aspect of our care, every day of the year, said Director of Care, Amanda Head. “They lead the way in encouraging excellence, promoting best practice and making sure we deliver genuine, person-centred care.”
Dignity can be shown in the smallest of actions – a smile as we pass by, or making time to stop and chat. This Dignity Action Day let us all show our neighbour a little compassion, dignity and respect.
