Tenants at our Sherringham House independent living apartments enjoyed the perfect pairing of cheese and wine to mark National Cheese Day.
With a glass of red wine and various cheeses to taste test, our sociable tenants relaxed together to share their connoisseur views and catch up on the day’s happenings.
“I don’t usually drink red wine,” said Gail, “so it was really nice to give it a try. It was perfect with the cheese.”
Meanwhile, regulars at our Parkhead Resource Centre in Ashington took a more studious look at cheese, with scores being given in their cheesy taste test.
The winners were Cheddar, Red Leicester and Brie while Stilton and Wensleydale with cranberries got the thumbs down.
The cheesy grins are winners every time, though.
