It’s amazing what our St Catherine’s nursing home residents can pack into a lazy summer afternoon.
Starting with a post-lunch period of relaxation listening to some classical music, our residents simply enjoyed basking in the sunshine in their tranquil courtyard garden.
But, once refreshed, everyone agreed it was definitely time for a little light activity. So, supported by their activities’ co-ordinator, Jenny, everyone was soon challenging each other to a friendly game of quoits.
With everyone declared the winner in the spirit of camaraderie, rewards were served direct from the freezer – ice lollies that took our residents right back to their childhood and generated lots of shared tales.
“It’s always good to make the most of the good weather while it lasts,” said Nancy.
And it certainly looks like our residents did just that.
