Our team at Parkhead Resource Centre really love to put on a show when they can, and they took that literally this week as they brought a Variety performance to town.
Set up outside in the sunshine, guests at the centre were captivated by a performance of ‘That’s Life’, by local performance group, North East Producers. Depicting the courtship of Frank and Doris, the show was a toe-tapping-treat, with musical numbers including ‘Que Sera, Sera’, ‘Pack Up Your Troubles’ and ‘Young at Heart’.
“Our guests were really engrossed in the story of Frank and Doris – it was a real ‘Will they? Won’t they?’ We’ve enjoyed a good sing along, too. I’ve still got the songs stuck in my head!”, said manager, Claire.
With so many different activities to choose from on different days, Variety is definitely the spice of life at Parkhead.
