Around our services Easter has been marked with a host of different activities, each one giving the chance for our service users – and staff – to show off their talents.
Our nursing homes have both enjoyed holding competitions, with Holy Cross in Sunderland organising a traditional Easter bonnet competition that had everyone cracking up. Stylish bonnets featured in their Easter parade included everything from chic chicks to entire Easter scenes.
Meanwhile, residents at our St Catherine’s home in Newcastle were firmly in charge when they gathered to judge entries in an egg-stra special staff competition. This time, staff vied for glory with their amazing Easter decorations which ranged from elaborate, handmade gold and silver eggs to a fun, eggs-ercise gym class.
Easter egg hunts, delicious home baking and lots of friendly ‘rabbitting’ over cuppas and treats were just some of the many other activities that made for a truly enjoyable time.
And thank you to everyone who generously donated Easter eggs to our charity. The Easter bunny delivered them safely with your good wishes.
