St Cuthberts Care is a charity which works throughout the North East to help improve the lives of some of most vulnerable members of our communities including people with profound disabilities, children in care and older people.
Our Purpose, working for the common good by enabling people to develop to their personal potential, is our guiding principle.
St Cuthbert's Care is committed to helping improve the lives of some of the most vulnerable members of our communities, including people with profound disabilities, children in care, older people and those living on the margins of society. Firmly rooted in the Catholic faith, our charity always has and always will place people at the heart of its work.
Our work is highly specialised and we often work in areas of high need that are either unattractive or considered to be too high risk for other providers to take on. To fulfil our Purpose, we engage and contract with a range of professional bodies and local authorities and work closely with churches, other charities and not-for-profit organisations as well as local communities.
We are a Living Wage employer – the first regional charity in the North East, delivering adult social care as part of our work, to be accredited by the Living Wage Foundation.

When a member of our support staff retired, he couldn’t go without a very special memento being left behind to mark the especially close bonds he had with one of our service users.
