The click of knitting needles is often heard in our St Catherine’s nursing home but there’s been more knit than natter recently for one of our residents.
Knitting enthusiast, Nancy, has always found knitting a relaxing pastime, picking up her needles at every opportunity, but now she’s found a new purpose for her talent by knitting squares to create a cosy blanket.
“With eight children, knitting was always essential and I had to knit pretty quickly, too,” said Nancy. “Having a goal to achieve is spurring me on.”
We can’t wait to see the finished result, Nancy.
