Guests at our Parkhead Resource Centre have been taking one giant leap towards fun and discovery this week, as they celebrated the anniversary of the moon landing.
In reference to the date Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin took those fateful steps in 1969, 20 July is known as National Moon Day. What better way then, for guests and staff to mark the occasion, than taking part in scientific experiments and even launching their own rocket!
Claire Graham, Manager said: “We have had a great time learning about all things science and conducting our experiments. The highlight has to be – launching the first Parkhead rocket with just vinegar and baking powder!”
Clearly, everyone was over the moon with the day. Activities blast off same time tomorrow!
