Party-goers had a surprise guest dropping in on their fun and games at The Alan Shearer Centre during the holidays. Football legend Alan Shearer himself welcomed delighted children as they arrived for a Christmas party at the facility in Newcastle named in the record-breaking goal scorer’s honour.
The disabled children and their carers enjoyed games, prize competitions and a party buffet before the real star of the event, Santa Claus, made his grand entrance to give out gifts.
