This year saw the 59th anniversary of the annual Catholic Charity Ball, an evening of live music, disco and dancing which brings together a wide cross-section of members of the diocese’s parishes. The event is popular with all generations but last year we were particularly keen to encourage younger people to come along. Schools have always been a mainstay of our support so we invited sixth form pupils to attend the Ball and see how to put the ‘fun’ into fundraising.
The Ball was held on Friday 5th February in the Lancastrian Suite at the former Federation Brewery in Dunston, Gateshead and, as usual, was well supported.
