Throughout the year the team at Fostering North East arranges social events for its foster families. It’s the team’s way of showing their appreciation of the work their foster families do, and also a great chance for everyone to get together.
This year was no exception, and in what has become an annual Christmas tradition, the fostering team and 38 people went to see an evening performance of Jack and the Beanstalk at Durham’s Gala Theatre.
Special arrangements to use the Alan Shearer Activity Centre’s minibus ensured that everyone, including those families with disabled children, could join in the fun.
All the guests commented on how professional and supportive the Fostering North East team were during the night, and said that they are looking forward to the next outing.
