A trip out with members of their YoungStars group left staff at Fostering North East going Round the Twist recently.
YoungStars is an activity group of foster children and children of foster carers set up by the agency to provide fun activities while their parents and carers take part in regular training courses.
Hopping on board the Alan Shearer Activity Centre minibus their latest trip to the Round the Twist indoor play area in Benton proved a huge success with younger members of the group while the teenage members enjoyed 18 holes of crazy golf in Tynemouth. The fun day of activities was topped off with lunch followed by ice creams all round.
Fostering Social Worker Peter Bolam said: “We had a really great day out at the venue. The YoungStars group is always popular with our foster carers as it gives them peace of mind knowing that they can concentrate on their training while the children are being well-cared for in a variety of safe and fun environments.”
