A world of sensory input at the Short Break Centre

Guests staying at the Alan Shearer Short Break Centre can continue to expand their motor and sensory processing skills even further thanks to a new delivery of sensory integration products.

Tactile and fidget toys and handheld exercisers designed to develop biting and chewing skills help treat and make accommodations for disabled people with mild to severe sensory processing disorders and help them achieve maximum abilities.

“These inexpensive but necessary items help our guests get the most out their visit and help them develop tactile, audio, visual, co-ordination, fine-motor and oral motor skills and help with effective sensory integration therapy,” explained Centre Manager Pam Jobling.”Our regular guests in particular look forward to receiving new sensory toys and we know that having access to such a wide choice is very beneficial for them.”
