In March this year we announced that Auton Sunderland had been recognised for its successful anti-bullying work with a Bronze Accreditation being awarded by Sunderland City Council.
This motivated the young people and staff to work even harder, aiming to gain the Silver award for its anti-bullying measures. We are delighted to say that their efforts have been rewarded and the Silver Accreditation was awarded.
This fantastic achievement came as a result of hard work by everyone at Auton Sunderland, with staff and residents working together to co-ordinate an anti-bullying team. Assessors from Sunderland City Council were more than satisfied that Auton Sunderland met the rigorous success criteria covering staff training and resident support networks.
While proud of these achievements, they are not resting on their laurels as they are now going for the top award, Gold Accreditation, ensuring that everyone at Auton Sunderland helps to showcase the work they do to prevent bullying.
