A new year brings new potential for Holy Cross

When St Cuthbert’s Care saved Holy Cross Care Home from closure last year, our aim, after securing the continued care of its residents, was to return the home to back into the flourishing home it once was. We have now taken a major step towards that by expanding our services to include nursing as well as residential care.

Set in private, tranquil grounds in Sunderland, Holy Cross can offer permanent provision to older men and women with a range of residential and nursing care needs, including those diagnosed with dementia. The home can also offer respite care to those requiring temporary support; perhaps when recovering from an illness, recuperating from hospital or by offering a safe place to stay when main carers are away.

If you would like to find out more, or would like to visit Holy Cross to view the home, manager Amanda Head will be pleased to show you round and answer any questions you may have. You can contact us on 0191 228 8000, or email Amanda at amanda.head@holycrosscarehome.org.uk.

2013 will see further development of the care provision at Holy Cross, so we would still like to hear from suitably qualified, experienced nurses who may be interested in working with us. Please contact Amanda for more information.
