“Chromatic Dave” brings back memories for Andy

St Catherine’s resident Andy Kenny had a special interest in the home’s latest visiting entertainer, harmonica player David Snowdon.

Andy was quite an accomplished player himself in his younger days so David, or “Chromatic Dave” as he is known professionally, had to be on top form. Residents were treated to a wide range of musical styles, from Sinatra to Celine Dion, before David asked them to request their own favourites for a sing-along.

Activities Co-ordinator, Richard Dobinson said, “This was David’s first visit to St Catherine’s and he gave us a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. We will definitely be inviting him again.”

“Most of our residents are very restricted in their mobility and can’t go on our occasional days out, so I am always on the lookout for entertainers who can come into the home and offer our residents something new.”

If you have a talent you would like to share with our residents, Richard would be happy to hear from you. Call him on 0191 245 2400 for an informal chat and let him know what you can do.
