Former Royal Marine, Keith Harbottle, has set himself some gruelling challenges over the next few months in a bid to raise as much money as possible for the Alan Shearer Foundation.
Keith is looking for supporters to sponsor any, or all, of the five events he has lined up between now and the end of 2013. Any one event would be impressive in itself, but just take a look at what Keith has ahead of him.
- The Marathon of the North. Taking place on 28 April, starting and finishing at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light
- A Coast to Coast cycle ride, from Tynemouth in the east to Whitehaven in the west in one day
- The Northern Cyclone. A 104 mile cycle challenge on 29 June, taking in some of the toughest hill climbs in the Cheviots
- The Kielder Marathon on 6 October
- A 24 mile run (in fancy dress) from Otterburn in Northumberland to Newcastle in November
This must be the toughest challenge yet for any of our fundraisers, so we hope you will give him all the support he deserves.
