Lloyds TSB call centre workers swapped bank calls for bingo calling when they spent the afternoon with residents at our Holy Cross Nursing & Care Home.
Five members of staff from the Sunderland centre joined residents for afternoon tea and cake and a bingo session as part of the banking group’s Day to Make a Difference volunteering programme.
Lloyds TSB worker Karen Collins, whose grandmother is a Holy Cross resident, had previously contacted the home to offer the services of the programme volunteers Amy Ainslie, Karen Allen, Tracy Fiskon, Joyce Brownless and Jill Beldin.
Holy Cross Manager, Amanda Head, said: “We are very grateful to the ladies who came along to help out at our bingo session. It’s great to have new people visiting the home and spending time with the residents. Everyone had a lovely afternoon!”
