St Catherine’s residents have been recalling the days of charabanc trips to the seaside during a friendship-themed reminiscence session.
Our Newcastle care home residents remembered the camaraderie of trips out to the coast with family and friends when the popular Vintage Scene musical drama company returned to St Catherine’s this month.
The company packed a picnic, deckchairs and buckets and spades as they took residents on a trip down memory lane to recall longer breaks away from home at holiday camps and caravan parks in the ’50s and ’60s. Last month Vintage Scene brought a taste of the United States to the home with a popular and lively afternoon entitled All Things America.
This time St Catherine’s residents were treated to a fun singalong and some Hi-Di-Hi holiday style entertainment by the company to round off the session.
