Elvis was in the building when he dropped by to entertain residents at Holy Cross care home in Sunderland.
Wearing a white, tasselled outfit the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll sang all his classics including Jailhouse Rock, Return to Sender, Blue Suede Shoes and It’s Now or Never as residents were wowed by the crooner’s antics.
“Everyone one was clapping and knew the words to the songs,” said Holy Cross administrator and activities assistant, Alison Hutchinson. “They were still talking about how much they enjoyed the show the following day.”
The entertainer was such a hit with residents that they are hoping for a return performance at Christmas.
