This year’s Alan Shearer Centre bonfire night barbeque is set to host a warm welcome for our fundraising Action Man’s final challenge of 2013.
Former marine, Keith Harbottle under his Action 4 Smiles banner, has been raising money through a series of athletic feats this year culminating in a 29 mile run from Otterburn to the Centre on 5 November.
Keith’s anticipated arrival at 4pm coincides with the start of the bonfire night festivities indoors at the Centre, which includes a disco with light and laser displays, barbeque food, popcorn and candyfloss.
“We’re all set to welcome Keith after his trail blazing 29-mile effort,” said Alan Shearer Services Manager, Jackie Dunn.
“We hope that lots of people will be here to create a great party atmosphere and give him a heroic reception by way of a thank you for his fantastic fundraising endeavours.”
Tickets to the bonfire night bash taking place from 4 – 6pm on November 5 cost £2 each and should be booked at the Alan Shearer Centre reception on 0191 267 8118.
