The blossoming talents of our green-fingered residents at Holy Cross have helped gain a nomination for the home’s stunning grounds and gardens in this year’s Sunderland in Bloom competition.
Each year, geraniums, hydrangeas and lots of other colourful potted plants are lovingly grown by our residents and displayed on the sunny patio areas at the front of the home.
This riot of colour adds to the splendour of the beautifully landscaped gardens which are lovingly tended all year round by our talented gardener, Gordon, and have regularly caught the eye of the Sunderland in Bloom judges.
Thanks to Gordon’s wife who sends in the competition entries every year, Holy Cross is on the final shortlist once again.
Awards will be announced at a presentation at the Roker Hotel on November 14 and everyone has their (green) fingers crossed.
