Everyone seems to be singing the praises of Cuddy’s Lunch Club and, wherever you go in Chester le Street, a recommendation is never far away.
Many calls have been made to the volunteers running the lunch club by people who have heard about it from a surprising variety of sources.
Some of the recent examples include a call from a lady who had been contacted by her daughter in Yorkshire after she had seen a photo of the lunch club’s new cooker online. Another lady received a glowing endorsement from her local hairdresser and yet another learned about the many benefits of the lunch club during a taxi journey.
Cuddy’s volunteer, Ann Aubrey said, “It really is amazing how people are finding out about us. I took one call from a lady who had heard about the lunch club and was ringing to book quite a number of people in for Christmas lunch! We’re all very flattered to know that people love the lunch club so much.”
