Tim Dillon announced as our new Chief Executive

Tim Dillon has been appointed as the new Chief Executive of St Cuthbert’s Care.

Tim will take over from Austin Donohoe on 1 May 2014.

Tim, a professionally qualified Chartered Surveyor, was the unanimous choice of the interview panel, consisting of members from the charity’s board of trustees.

With over 25 years’ extensive experience at a senior level in the commercial and voluntary sectors, Tim has also been directly involved with the charity for the past 13 years, as Property Manager for the Catholic Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle.

Austin, who will be retiring as the charity’s Chief Executive after 18 years, commented:

“St Cuthbert’s Care’s work is both complex and demanding and I am delighted that Tim will be taking on this role to lead and direct the charity into its next phase of growth and development.

“Tim brings with him a wealth of personal values, attributes and specialist experience and I have every confidence that his vision for the charity, combined with his business and financial acuity, will invigorate the charity for years to come.”

Tim, 48, married with three children and a former associate partner of Sanderson Weatherall LLP, said:

“I am absolutely thrilled to be given this opportunity. It will be a privilege to continue the phenomenal work already undertaken by Austin.

“I am under no illusions about the current pressures placed upon the care and charity sectors and the subsequent challenges I will face. I am wholly committed to ensuring St Cuthbert’s Care remains at the fore of exceptional care provision and my focus will be to improve even further the standards of care and to sustain financial viability.”
