Yuletide carols being sung by a choir at Holy Cross

A choir from St Anthony’s Girls’ Catholic Academy provided the musical accompaniment at the Holy Cross carol service this week.

Residents, family, friends and staff packed the home’s chapel to attend the service conducted by Fr Michael McCoy with the singing led by the Sunderland school.

In addition to the readings and traditional carols, such as We Three Kings and Silent Night, the pupils performed White Christmas and the congregation all joined in with a rendition of the 12 Days of Christmas.

Holy Cross maintains links with the school as pupils from St Anthony’s visit the home weekly to provide a service offering manicures, hand massages and beauty treatments to the residents.
