The charity’s computer apprentice, Scott Heslop, has graduated to being in charge of helping to maintain St Cuthbert’s Care’s information technology systems.
Scott, 19, has successfully passed his Advanced Level Apprenticeship in IT Software Web and Telecoms Professionals from e-skills uk. And the qualification comes not a moment too soon after our Head of IT, Mary Nicholson, left Scott ‘holding the baby’ when she quit work earlier this month to go on maternity leave!
Scott’s line manager, Nic Gilbert, said that he was depending on the charity’s latest IT professional to help him to deal with St Cuthbert’s Care’s staff’s queries regarding all things computer-based.
“Many congratulations to Scott on passing his apprenticeship,” said Nic, “It’s great to have him on hand to give technical support on everything from database to telephone problems. He is now a skilled and certified computer trouble-shooter!”
Good luck and best wishes messages also go to Mary, whose due date is at the beginning of March.
