Confectionery company, Thornton’s, is visiting our Newcastle nursing home next week to give residents a flavour of its one hundred year history.
Activities Co-ordinator, Richard Dobinson, has arranged for representatives from the chocolates shop business to come to the home to give a talk – and maybe distribute some samples! Luckily Thornton’s will be visiting on Monday, before the start of Lent on March 5, so there will be no need for abstinence if sweeties are passed around!
There is more chocolate on offer in the home’s raffle to be drawn at Easter. Other prizes include a watch, wine, vodka, necklace and toiletries gift sets.
Tickets, priced £1, are available from the home or at St Cuthbert’s Care reception and all proceeds will go towards St Catherine’s amenities fund.
