Easter bunnies, in the form of representatives from confectioner’s Thornton’s, have been visiting St Catherine’s Nursing Home this week.
Residents, visitors and staff stocked up with goodies for Mothers’ Day and some iced personalised Easter eggs when the chocolatiers from the Newcastle branch brought their sweet stall to the home.
After a talk about the chocolate company the Thornton’s staff hosted a question and answer session and promised to bring a selection of their wares back to the home soon, as well as making a visit Holy Cross in Sunderland to indulge residents there.
The pre-Lenten visit was timed nicely for Monday – ensuring no guilty feelings about partaking in sweet treats!
