There was lots of horsing around at Holy Cross recently when our residents were treated to some pony therapy.
Miniature American horses, Mr P and Blondie, took everything in their stride when they visited the home – even their trips in the lift to visit residents who were unable to leave their rooms!
Standing at just over 28 inches tall, the little horses brought big smiles to everyone’s face as they spread their therapeutic magic wherever they went with lots of nuzzling and friendly head nodding.
Holy Cross Manager, Amanda Head said, “You could really see the difference the horses made to our residents; their faces lit up. Everyone here is still talking about them – well, it’s not every day we have horses in our home!”
