Residents at St Catherine’s have had great value from a variety performer who entertained his audience with comedy, music, magic and balloon modelling!
Allen Cutler, the self-proclaimed ‘One-man Music Hall’ visited our Newcastle care home this month to offer his own style of entertainment which went down a storm with residents, staff and visitors alike.
“We’ll be welcoming Allen back to St Catherine’s soon, due to popular demand!” says activities coordinator, Richard Dobinson.
Meanwhile, there is a host of other events planned this spring for the care home residents. On Mothering Sunday, 30 March, musical husband and wife team, Jiva, will be performing while April sees the return of chocolatiers, Thornton’s, who will be coming to St Catherine’s for a coffee morning on Saturday 5th followed by a visit by 12-piece band, the Semitones on Sunday 6th.
As well as organising regular visits by tai chi exponent, Wendy Chin, and trips out to a tea dance venue in Gosforth, Richard is preparing for a big World Wars commemoration event later in the year.
