Our Newcastle care home residents have a varied programme of events lined up in the next few weeks according to activities coordinator, Richard Dobinson.
Tai chi exponent, Wendy Chin, is making one of her regular visits to St Catherine’s to put residents through their paces with a therapeutic session of gentle movement and meditation.
Richard reminds residents that they can also exercise their minds with some new reading matter thanks to the visits by Newcastle Library Service which routinely comes to the home to offer a selection of books to borrow.
Entertainment is in store from singer Sadie who will be visiting St Catherine’s on Friday 30 May to perform songs from the musicals while June will see a special Blaydon Races themed day and culminate in a commemoration event to mark the 70th anniversary of the D-day landings.
