We’re having a star spangled celebration at the Alan Shearer Centre today.
While pupils from Thomas Bewick and Percy Hedley schools used the specialist facilities and sensory rooms this morning, elsewhere in the centre our adult Live and Learners were creating some US themed artwork to decorate the walls and commemorate independence day.
In line with the American motif, Browne’s Café is including hot dogs, French fries and New York style cheesecake on our fourth of July menu.
This weekend there will be a much more British tone to proceedings as we look forward to the Wimbledon finals with our own mini tennis tournament!
