St Catherine’s residents have been enjoying the summer with a minibus trip to the coast.
Care home residents took off from a sunny Newcastle last week and headed for Whitley Bay to get some sea air. Unfortunately, as the bus travelled towards the coast it became misty with sea fret.
Despite the dull weather everyone appreciated the excursion and still managed to see views of St Mary’s lighthouse and the seaside resort. They finished off the trip, of course, with an ice cream treat!
Activities coordinator, Richard Dobinson, has more days out planned this summer for St Catherine’s residents including drives out to the region’s parks, social gatherings and events.
