A mixture of special events is in the bag for residents at St Catherine’s care home.
Activities coordinator, Richard Dobinson, has lined up a visit to the home of an old fashioned confectionary stall on Tuesday 9 September when residents, visitors and staff will have the opportunity to be transported back their childhood with some “sweet memories”.
Before that, on Thursday 4 September, the very popular Allan Cutler will be returning to our Newcastle care home to perform his own mix of entertainment in his variety act. Last time Allan had his audience involved in singing, dancing, comedy and wearing some fetching head gear modelled from balloons!
This Friday, 22 August, Richard has planned a commemoration of the World Wars when there will be a display of memorabilia, little known trivia information and readings of Rupert Brooke’s poetry.
