Some four-legged, feline friends have been visiting St Catherine’s residents.
Alice Knott, one of the night staff at our Newcastle care home, brought her cats Bella, a tiny white kitten, and big ginger, Roberto, to meet the residents, relatives and staff at the home this week.
The therapeutic effects of having a friendly pet to stroke are well documented and residents at the home enjoy being amused by the animal antics of the furry visitors Alice brings in.
And, of course, Roberto and Bella have the pleasure of a lot of attention from “St Cat’s” residents and appear to delight in the offer of some different laps to sit on!
