Brought to book at St Catherine’s

Donations of books, videos, audio tapes and DVDs have been used to expand an entertainment library at our Newcastle nursing home.

St Catherine’s activities coordinator, Richard Dobinson, welcomed the latest donations of television classics like Lovejoy and Minder, some Agatha Christie tapes and Daisy Dalrymple murder books after a resident’s friend, Tony Watson, had a clear out.

Tony was sorting resident Rod Morison’s stash of videos and books and brought them for everyone at St Catherine’s to borrow and enjoy.

Rod, who is an avid reader, can settle down now in the home’s library which is now being developed in an area of a coffee lounge at the home after Tony also brought in some shelving on which to display the new entertainment selection.
