Talented pupils from the local Sacred Heart Catholic High School have been entertaining residents at our Newcastle care home.
Girls from Kerry Palma’s Year 12 tutor group performed guitar solos, recited poetry, gave dance displays and an illustrated talk on their forthcoming trip to an orphanage and slum area in Africa to our St Catherine’s residents.
The pupils had also baked cakes and sweet treats for residents to enjoy during the show at the home this week.
Kerry said that, given the opportunity, some of her pupils would be happy to perform some piano sing-alongs and ballroom dance moves, if space and musical instruments were available!
St Catherine’s hope to welcome the girls back later in the school year for another variety show and to hear about their trip abroad.
