Christmas is coming and a call has gone out for donations to deck the stalls at St Catherine’s fair being held on Saturday 29 November.
Our Newcastle care home’s activities coordinator, Richard Dobinson, is asking for help with prizes for a tombola, bottle and cake stalls.
“Bottle stalls are always popular so donations of anything from vinegar to champagne are welcome!” says Richard. “Prizes for a tombola would also be gratefully received and it’ll be great if anyone would like to make us some cakes or goodies for the bake sale.”
Richard is hoping to follow the success of last year’s Christmas fair when over £300 was made for St Catherine’s amenities fund. Other attractions at this year’s fete will include a book stall, old fashioned sweeties and gift ideas.
Anyone who would like to donate items should contact Richard at St Catherine’s care home or leave them for his attention with Angey Brown at St Cuthbert’s House reception.
