Our Sunderland care home residents have been enjoying a wartime themed evening when a singer from the Majorettes group appeared at Holy Cross this week.
Dressed smartly in a period uniform the singer performed classics including We’ll Meet Again, Pack Up Your Troubles and A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square to a very appreciative audience.
The home’s activities coordinator, Clare Quinn, said the residents thoroughly enjoyed the show: “She sang a range of 1940s wartime hits that all the residents recognised and were able to sing along to. A great night!”
