A delightful poppy collage designed for St Catherine’s nursing home has been donated by pupils from Sacred Heart High School.
The poppy artwork was handed over to the home’s activities coordinator, Richard Dobinson, by teacher, Suzanne Lewis-Dale, as a gift from the Year 7 after-school art club. The piece includes hand-made felt and 3-D paper flowers.
“It’s absolutely lovely, said Richard, “We’ll put it up in the home’s lounge where everyone can see and appreciate it.”
The school art club is currently busy making another piece specifically for display in the Newcastle home’s chapel.
