Dance moves, dinner and donkeys all feature in a calendar stuffed full of festive goodies this December at Parkhead.
The tree at our Ashington day centre for disabled adults has already been trimmed after which everyone joined in with a Christmas sing-along and hot chocolate refreshments.
Parkhead’s Christmas lunch and disco is being held at the Riverside Lodge in Morpeth on Thursday 11 December and special guests from Marquisway Day Centre, Gateshead, will be visiting to perform a Christmas concert on Tuesday 16 at 12.30. The Ashington hosts will be providing the buffet lunch.
To help shed some of those extra pounds gained over the festive period, the Just Jhoom dance and musical theatre group will be putting everyone through their paces on Wednesday 17.
The Parkhead Christmas Fair is not to be missed and will be held on Friday 19 December. There will be donkeys paying a visit, along with craft and cake stalls and hot turkey and stuffing sandwiches on sale.
Everyone is welcome to join local musician Peter Cusworth leading the carol singing on Monday 22 December at 1pm.
Parkhead is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day with early closing on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
